negative and positive layer

Is it advantageous to use the gnd plane as a positive plane.Will the signals routed in this plane have any negative effects?
 

no effects..generally positive planes takes more memory than negative planes.
 
Yes, positive is better as you can see your planes explicitly. Negative planes and artworks are a throwback to the bad old days, when computers and related technology was not as good as it is today.
