Hi guys,

Need suggestions of realistic applications that can fit in 10k LE FPGA, compression? networking? video?
Pls feel free to drop any suggestion. Thanks!
 

That is small, what FPGA is it? the architecture can make a lot of difference (like are there any internal memories, multipliers etc).
 

I am looking at Altera's Cyclone III, EP3C10 FPGA with only 10k LE. It has 46 M9k memory & 23 18x18 mult, can support DDR2.
 

I guess you shoud see the spec sheet of th FPGA or look for which logic core does it support, you might get some idea.
 

You can probably do some simple compression (RLE) or simple video stuff, but nothing fancy with such a limited number of resources.
