HI all,

I wanted to know what should be the lab set up to see the effect of RF from 300Mhz to 3Ghz on a plant/animal

I am thinking of set up where I could enclose the RF source and specimen in an enclosure.

Please could any one share information/links for the same.

Thank you.

The great problem is reflections from the building its self, this leads to cancellation of RF fields at some points and addition at others. The complete inside of your test area must be covered in some compound that exhibits the impedance of free space ~ 377 ohms. this is so any bit of RF when hitting a wall does not see it as a wall but as free space. This includes you test equipment, keep it out the area and just use leads covered in the 377 ohm compound. It would be advantageous to repeat any measurements with the object moved by 1/4 wave length in all directions to make sure that all the readings are consistent.

Thanks for reply.. your information is beneficial.

Could you please share any image so that I can actually visualize the things.

Thank you once again.
