Hi,

Why there is an capacitor or resistor+capacitor is added between Gate and Drain of the MOSFET when MOSFET is used as Switch. IS it to improve Thermal Behavior. Anyone know about this

Where do you see this? I don't have it in any of my MOSFET switcher circuits.

Could you please explain me how does it reduce ringing. To reduce ringing only we have Gate Resistor right?


It is used in most of the circuits when use MOSFET as Switch and also operating at higher frequencies

Yes. MOSFET manufacturers are struggling hard to minimize Cdg and Cgs respectively total gate charge. You really won't want to increase it artificially.

RC feedback elements are partly used in wideband FET amplifiers. As said, I don't see the purpose in switching circuits. Can you post a reference?
