lcd cgram

i am working on lcd CCM1620CSLS1 module.i have only font table for this module.i don't know how to use DDRAM & CGRAM. is there any address for this registers & how characters are displayed using this regisrers?

ddram cgram

I'm assuming that your LCD controller is based on HD44780. DDRAM stores the data to be displayed, and CGRAM allows storing of user-defined symbols.
**broken link removed** has been one of the best online references for HD44780-based displays.
I've also attached a datasheet which in my opinion provides one of the simplest explainations of how to interface an LCD controller. Hope it helps.

cgram and ddram

try this simulator:

cgram font a=english/arabic font

Please be informed that ilker's files are infected with a virus. I hope all forumers will ensure that their files are virus-free before uploading them in the forums.
And yes, the virus managed to get past my NAV even though it was detected straight away. All be warned.
