Hi,
I have designed a generic output board for to run 230V AC motors, solenoids.. I attached the circuit here.

Please tell me if this design is enough or Is there any other changes is advisable to make the circuit more reliable, protective and rugged.

Thanks,
Murugesh

LED current is too low, refer to datasheet specifications. 10 nF doesn't involve much snubber effect. It may be problematic to use a zero crossing switch with mostly inductive loads like solenoids.

Thanks..

What value of capacitor is recommended for snubber effect..

How zero crossing switch will be problematic for inductive loads?

Hi,
Sorry previously i did not know about zero crossing concept so only i asked how it will affect the solenoid loads. I think you may be busy with your work so only you did not reply.

As you told that zero crossing may be problematic for solenoid valves, i then started to search about zero crossing circuits and now i understand how zero crossing may create problem for solenoids. So i decided to go with the opto coupler MOC3021.

Thanks for your reply....
