Hi

I have a project that requires fast responding weight checker. I am not sure if a load cell is able to do this. Basically an item of about 100g will drop into a bin and checking the weight where even 0.1g is off the mark it will push the item into the reject bin at almost 0.8s response time. At most 1s. I am not sure if a load cell is able to do this. Any one has any experience on this?

Load cells can respond in milliseconds, but if you are 'dropping' your things into a bin, you have to account for mechanical effects (things bouncing around, etc.)

Most load cells are measuring instruments known as universal testing machines. It can weigh a package quickly and accurately. I am sure that your sample machine would be able to perform with an equally fast response.
