burning hex file using icsp is good or max232 circuit?

if you are working on any trainer then bootloader (max232) is suitable.
if you are working on any purposely designed circuit then icsp is suitable.

thanx man
means if i launched product in bunch then ICSP is suitable and if i am doing practice on dev. board then MAX232.
