Hello Everyone!

What is the minimum frequency possible in SG3524 IC.

Is is possible to make 50/60 Hz low power inverter using any easily available IC.[without programming]

I dont know exactly what is the min freq of SG3524. but less than 1Hz also it'll support. for ur req SG3524 (SG1524 or SG2524) is one of the best solution. ref circuit: http://www.circuitstoday.com/pwm-inverter-circuit.
http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheets/90/271356_DS.pdf - pg no. 5

In other hand u can use 4017 with 555.

here few more solution for ur req:

Thanks

In the first circuit why we are using so many transistors. Can we not simplify it using only 2N3055?

Also is it a tested circuit?

for driving power transistor need more base current (Ib) which SG3524 can't give. that's y they used darlington configuration. u can modify the circuit in different maner and try.
And also I suggest u to try with MOSFET. that'll b better.
