USB to PMBus dongle - Power Supply Manager system

Hi
I was reading about PMBus protocol and I found out that each manufacturer has it's own GUI and USB to I2C/SMBus/PMBus adapter.
I was wondering sinse PMBus (Power Management Bus) is kind of becoming an industry standard in Power Management, is there a general USB to I2C/SMBus/PMBus adapter so I can use it for TI Controller products and Linear Tech Power Managers (specially LT2978) ?
ST, NXP, and so on ...
I think maybe the problem is in vendor GUI and you can not use LT GUI (LTpowerplay) with TI USB adapter and vice versa.
I'm looking for a adapter so I can use it with LT GUI (LTpowerplay) better than it's own adapter (DC1613A). I want to use it to control LT DC-DC µModules (LTM46xx) for a custom Kintex-7 board.
What do you think? Is there a better option?
We have used LTM460x Modules before and it was a very good experience. I know there are a lot of DC-DC Modules but LT Modules is one of the greatest ones. But it's adapter is not that great.

Has anybody ever built an adapter or a Power Manager (Sequencing Control, Monitoring, ...) system for a FPGA board ? Any advice?
Thank you.
