I am quite new to the HFSS software and encountered this problem today. I was trying to design a birdcage coil for MRI applications. However, after I setup the model and started the analysis, the software couldn't compute the problem. The error message said: Adaptive solution setup, process hf3d error: Failure in solving matrix. I tried to search for threads regarding this, but couldn't find a similar one. I am not sure what I had done wrong in the design. I have enclosed my model here (a pretty simple one) if someone could take a look and give me a hand. Or if someone had ever come across this issue before can you provide some more information on how I can resolve it. I really appreciate your help and time!

Regards,

I'm analyzed Your project in HFSS v13 without troubles. Check Your hardware, OS etc. Maybe, it's a v12 trouble. What type of results do You want to see?

Thank you so much for your help. The software v12 is running on a 64 bit linux machine. I was looking to see the magnetic field distribution resulting from the current. I may contact our IT staff and see if we could get an upgrade. I am just curious if you change any analyze parameters (mesh size, adaptive solving parameters, etc...) by any chance?
