i want to build a timer circuit ... that can give me a 1minute to 2 hours of delay approximately ...!!!! if any body have any information ... please help me .... i have tried using cd4060 ic and also 4060 b ic but failed to achieve target ...!!!

are you sure you only want to use logic chips? you are posting in the Microcontrollers section... imo, its probably easier to use a microcontroller than to create a purely hardware design using logic gates.

its hard to do programming like of achieving 1 minute to 2 hours delay .....!!! if it is can u help me ...... because my i dnt have command on assembly language or either on c++,,,,,

yup sorry i v posted in microcontroller section ...!!!!

Search for RTC DS1307 in edaboard and you will get some projects. I have done one RTC DS1307 project and it is posted in edaboard. Search for RTC DS1307 internetuser2k11, internetuser2k12, jayanthd, hafizimran. I think hafizimran had asked for RTC project. My timer can be set for any dd/mm/yyyy hh/mm

Hello!

If it's just for a timer, you don't need a real-time clock circuit.
Use the cheapest microcontroller you find (usually they all have built-in timers).
And then program it. I guess with 10 ~15 lines of code, you can do that easily.

Dora.
