hi...

full_triac_circuit.png

^
I want to have 2 AC sources in an ATS project and I made the isolation using MOC3031M chip like the picture.

my questios:

1- Is this circuit valid to use? I will program a PIC MCU to trigger the triac drivers one at a time (the battery and the switch here is just to try the circuit).

2- If I made the circuit like in the picture, will there be any leakage current from the active source to the other one or so (in case of short circuit, i.e, one source had error and become short circuit... just in case???)???

I hope u answer my 2 questions.

thank you all.

Hi Prince Vegeta
I think your circuit is a bit confusing because you didn't explain what you're about to do exactly ! are those ac sources in opposite phases ? did you use such a circuit to change phase of signal which is going through the load ?
Anyway
I hope you know when you want turn a triac on you should give it a suitable value of Gate to MT1 voltage . but in your circuit the L side triac .....
If you want trun L side on you have two ways :
changing main terminals of triac . or changing head of that resistor in gate . ( tie it into the mt2 ) . though more information would be required for judgement about your circuit .
Best Wishes
