Hello,
do exist ARM softcore processors for Xilinx Spartan 6 FPGA? I know that for Altera FPGAs there is Cortex M1, I wonder if something similar exists for Xilinx. I looked around but was unable to find informations
Thank you

Synopsis has IP for a Cortex M1 core you can stuff in a spartan-6. So yes, it does exist. I suspect it will not be low budget though... In fact I'd bet that a Zedboard is probably cheaper than that IP license.

And there no doubt is something on opencores, but these days I don't even bother looking anymore. Maybe I should, but blech.

Which arm do you really need? Sometimes it is better to use simple arm like ARM7. It is really possible to have soft-core of ARM7!!!

Just for fun I checked out the **broken link removed**. Only $1995 ... Soooo if this is for hobby purposes, unless they give out evaluation or student licenses (which I highly doubt), for low unit counts you are probably better of getting a zynq. Or plunging into opencores and having fun. :p

Is there a free well documented ARM7 core you can use on spartan-6? If so, link please? :) That might come in handy for a future project.
