Novice with pbeditor

I make good use orcad capture and I'm trying to learn pcbeditor.
But I have seen that it is not easy and I have some question:
1) there are package footprint already defined? where for example where is the footprint for the resistance with package 0603?
2) how to define a layer for VCC and one for GND? how to change the vias? I do not want 4 layers separatly but i want one only for GND
