I'm going to teardown a Philips SA3MXX04PC MP3 player sometime this coming week. I'm interested in the battery, the physical layout, the flash for storing the files, and the display (marvellous 128x64 color LCD). I don't mind destroying the device. If anyone is interested in anything about this device, let me know and I'll try to discover the answer. If anyone has suggestions for how to go about it (ie techniques), I'll be glad to hear them, since I haven't taken anything apart before.

The only special tools I have are the Salaea Logic logic analyzer and a Fluke Scopemeter (it has minimal capture).
If it's possible to post pics, I will do so if requested.

I've posted this in Microcontrollers because I wish to address fellow gadget builders, I hope the mods don't object.
