hi, how can i print the hfss layout of a patch antenna array?. i found that first it need to convert to dxf file format & then can open in circuitcam software. do i have to redraw the layout??

I have done this but over methodis bit long but it works 100% I have designed and fabricated many antennas now, HFSS-->AUTOCAD-->PDF this is our method.

From hfss convert design for autocad, then in autocad convert file to PDF then you can print it but be sure you don't do the scaling because It would change the design size..

I follow a similar procedure. I export the model from hfss to dxf/gdsii (Modeler -> Export). You can choose an option on which layers to include.

After this, you can open in another software ( I use Altium CAMtastic DXP viewer, which is free) and then print it out to my printer.

No need to redraw anything.
