Hi......i am making my final year project as follows
I am going to control the speed of my train according to the status of the signal on the signalling pole
if red-train will stop,if yellow-speed will reduce,if green-train will run as it is
this is useful in case of bad weather where driver wont b able two see the signal.......i hv a following doubt
which motro should i choose-dc motor or stepper motor?........
please help me out..

If dont need to control position, then controlling speed of dc motor by pwm is so easy, you can use it. Here a project I did.
