implement into pmos

is it able to implement pure MOS bandgap vltage reference circuit without BJT'S..?i have to do project on bandgap voltage reference ckt with only 10ppm/c...can anybody help me out..?

Re: is it able to implement pure mos voltage reference ckt..

I have read a a paper to implement band-gap without resistors. So far, I can't figure out a band-gap withour bipolar.

Re: is it able to implement pure mos voltage reference ckt..

I read IEEE paper about CMOS voltage reference. It was based on difference of PMOS and NMOS threshold voltage temperature coefficients. But I don't think it will be easier than bandgap.
Any CMOS process has parasitic bipolar transistor, so no problem to design bandgap. It is well known circuit. Even if you don't have a BJT model you can design that and get result in a couple of wafer run, inserting this block into another layout as a test block or using multi-project wafer run.

Re: is it able to implement pure mos voltage reference ckt..

The paper I mentioned above was "CMOS Voltage Reference Based on Gate Work Function Differences in Poly-Si Controlled by Conductivity Type and Impurity Concentration" IEEE JOURNAL OF SOLID-STATE CIRCUITS, VOL. 38, NO.6 ,JUNE 2003.
But I don't know how to design that without any model or a lot of experimental data.

Another method is to replace BJT by MOS transistor operating in weak inversion region. IV relation of such transistor is close to BJT.

Third method is used by Seiko. It based on depletion mode NMOS as a voltage reference (they have patent).

depeltion nmos is good, but you need trimming.

Also you can use float gate mos with eeprom to adjust it

Re: pure mos voltage bandgap ckt..paper upload

hi to fom & all
i started implementing bandgap reference circuit with pre MOS.i got a very good paper suggested by fom.uploading here.it is very self explanatory ,easy to understand and implement.

I think you can using depletion NMOS& enhancement NMOS to get the reference voltage.

Re: is it able to implement pure mos voltage reference ckt..

You can use diode to replace bipolar.

We implement it successfully.
