Which is the IC that is used for making speech from text using Microcontroller?

to my knowledge, there is no IC that can change from text to speech .. which was also recorded sound in advance, such as IC ISD 2590

What about SP0-512? Its RoboVoice Text to Speech IC. But of higher cost.

i,m also try to finding that software so as i find.. emic 2 (text to speech module) or voice synthesizer..ics are gud like apr9600 but they can record voice in limited memory but according to emic to or voice sys..they can b used throug pc with pc harddisk.. this all i read abt from net and their websites

If you don't need particularly high quality audio (and don't need common formats such as MP3), you might be able to store the audio file(s) on an SD card and use a PIC/AVR to play it back.

But i dont know how to interface SD card with microcontroller... Can you help me with that??

thanks. I will try this.
