Hello,
in google I found one document with some research of patch with notch antenna (document attached). This antenna should have two "resonances" - one at ~2.7GHz, second "resonance" depends from notch size and is ~4.4GHz with 6x6mm notch.

I do simulation with Ansoft HFSS of that antenna. First "resonance" is at ~3GHz, second "resonance" doesn't depend from notch size and is ~5GHz. What's wrong in simulation model (attached)? Does the feeding is correct? Maybe some problems with air arround antenna?
Or maybe that research has some errors and lie to avoid copying?

hi.
which feeds ,you are use?
you should use this feeding methods:coaxial feed/strip line feed and etc.
but i didn't see any of them!!!
for location of resonance freq,at first you checked the design's feed.
good luck.

@fereshteh
excitation is giving by an unusual way below the notch.

There can be many problems possible. But I feel the way u connected your wave_port with the actually patch, is not looking good.
What you did is you drilled a hole (at specified position) in microstrip, then stuffed this hole with conducting material and connected a wave_port at the bottom. Also Ground plane is missing from the design. Wait for some more time, till experts from this forum get your problem in hand.

But you can feed conventional patch directly from coaxial cable - solder shield to ground plane and center line to patch. You just need to find point in patch with 50Ohm impedance.
So, I try to do same - just create cylinder (material copper), which acts as coaxial center line and waveport at ground plane. For conventional patch this feeding works for me.

Also Ground plane is missing from the design.
There is entity "reflektorius", which has assigned boundary "finite conductivity" (material copper). This boundary is groundplane, but not infinite ground plane.
