Hello Guys..!!

I have designed a lithium ion battery charger board which uses the BQ24201 IC. Now i need to know whether the board has any defects or need enhancement to it. If you guys can inspect the board and provide your opinions/suggestions I'd be very thankful to you.

Please see attachment below...

Thanx...

You tried to distribute the connectors on three sides. I suggest that you might first settle the enclosure, and then decide where the input and out put are expected to make it look nice. Battery connections also to be placed at a feasible location as per the enclosure. the feed back connection to the 1M resistor seemed too indirect, and it is possible to reduce that track by trying to look only one layer at a time.

Dear mvs sarma,

Thanx for providing your valuable suggestions on this. Actually the SV2 connector is a pin selector (Jumper) and the 2 pin connector right to it is a Charge status output (to MCU). I have made some adjustment as per your suggestions and attached images below. There are two versions Rev1 and Rev2. I'm more concerned about the available bottom copper area for heat sinking. So which one is better ?.

Thanx..
