The SIM908 GPS/GPRS module I'm developing with is having problems registering with my local towers.

I can plug in it and communicate with the UART just fine. It doesn't seem to be a power issue as the module doens't power off or report low voltage. There is a GSM antenna attached, and the signal appears to be good. The NET LED is flashing for a fraction of a second, every second or so.

Here is the output of CREG, COPS, CSQ and CENG:

Code:
AT
OK

+PACSP: 1

GPS Ready

+CREG: 2
AT+CREG?
+CREG: 2,2

OK
AT+COPS=?
+COPS: (3,"CAN Rogers Wireless Inc.","ROGERS","302720"),,(0,1,4),(0,1,2)

OK
AT+CSQ
+CSQ: 18,0

OK
AT+CENG=1,1
OK
AT+CENG?
+CENG: 1,1

+CENG:0,"0177,35,99,302,220,48,0000,03,05,2b5f,255"
+CENG:1,"65535,255,00,0000,000,00,0"
+CENG:2,"65535,255,00,0000,000,00,0"
+CENG:3,"65535,255,00,0000,000,00,0"
+CENG:4,"65535,255,00,0000,000,00,0"
+CENG:5,"65535,255,00,0000,000,00,0"
+CENG:6,"65535,255,00,0000,000,00,0"

What I find interesting is COPS is reporting the "Rogers" network (MCN 720), while the Engineering report only references a Telus network (MCN 220)

The simcard I have should work on the Telus network.

Any thoughts?

Well, It was suggested I try a Rogers sim card and the appeared to fix the problem. Telus doesn't have 2G/EDGE support in this area.
