Hi,

I need to read values from certain pins (pin no 9, 10, 11) from the CPM connector (Please refer the attachment or use the URL). In the PC end I can use putty or RealTerm. But how do I reduce the no of pins that is coming from the CPM connector so that I can use RS-232 while connecting it to the PC.

Only crimp the flat cable wires that you need into a 38-way IDC connector and cut the rest of the conductors away.
