Hi,

I am viswanath from INDIA.

I am using liquid flux for soldering smd components and RANKEM make Iso prophyl alchol for cleaning the PCBs which consists SMD and leaded components.

after cleaning the pcbs, i observed the PCBs are sticky and some kind of white layer is formed around the components. Because of this the pcb functionality is not stable.

I have no guess whether this problem is because of liquid flux or IP.

some people told me to use ROSIN FLUX or NO CLEAN FLUX. What is the difference between the two?

Can some body suggests me the best soldering flux and IP for soldering and cleaning the PCBs.

awaiting favorable reply.

Thanks and Regards,
Viswanath

u can use choloroform for cleaning pcbs and 60/40 solder for soldering....

All the fluxes I have used are 'no clean' fluxes. Using an old style flux with residue is a nuisance as cleaning it then gives you a problem of disposal of the waste liquid. You also have to be certain you won't damage components with the cleaning fluid. As chloroform dissolves plastics I doubt that would be a good idea! Buy some solder with 'no clean' flux.
