Good day :)

PLease help me. I need ideas for my thesis, I'm an ECE graduating student.

I would like to try simple robotics (since I don't have background about it and I know simple programming).

Does servo can be counted as one???

Thank you in advance :)

1.a Robotic car - basic controls Left,Right,Forward,Backward
1.b Robotic car with obstacle detection - add a obstacle sensor and decision taking.

2.a Line Follower Robot - simple line array sensor - just follow the track
2.b, Line Follower Robot - PID Method - improve the track following

3, Servo based Robotic arm - 4/5 degree Axis/Motion Mechatronics
4, Pick and place Robot 5/6 Degree

Jestin_cubetech thank you :) do you have some info about solar tracker?

Physical state observation is a pretty good topic for an undergrad thesis. Especially if you throw in a nice kalman filter.

mtwieg I'm not familiar with that one but I will take note of that :)

The purpose of this course is to introduce you to basics of modeling, design, planning, and control of robot systems. In essence, the material treated in this course is a brief survey of relevant results from geometry, kinematics, statics, dynamics, and control.
The course is presented in a standard format of lectures, readings and problem sets. There will be an in-class midterm and final examination. These examinations will be open book. Lectures will be based mainly, but not exclusively, on material in the Lecture Notes book. Lectures will follow roughly the same sequence as the material presented in the book, so it can be read in anticipation of the lectures

Hi naomiAA,
Do you mean to track the sun for solar panel optimization if so you can do so by comparing the light falling on Two LDR's and turn the solar panel so that each ldr receives the same amount of light. you have to track the sun in two axis one for azimuth and one for elevation
regards ani

I'm planning to make a solar tracker as my project! i found this on the internet! if you have time try to read you will get the idea how to make a Solar Tracker.
