Hi,

I am designing the Electroluminscence to glow the image .

As per my knowledge it require 230v AC

But does the voltage depend upon the Size of the Image ?????????????.

Because i have made the EL of size 300mmX150mm and input voltage is driven through 12v Dc to 170v Ac ip it is glowing

But the same inverter if i use for the 420mmX297mmsize EL it is not glowing ?

Can anyone resolve this issuse

Re: Electroluminscence Lamp

EL panels appear as capacitors to the inverter. The panel with larger area will have larger capacitance. Either the inverter simply isn't able to produce enough voltage with the bigger load or, if it's a self oscillating inverter, the capacitance has stopped it oscillating altogether.
