Hi,

Have a control panel full of switches feeding a 18f via 10k pull ups close to the chip.

The cables are around 300 to 400mm long and screened where possible, but am getting odd false activation of the outputs.
( if the inputs are left disconnect from the control panel, no false activations are given)

Have seen these DSS 310 series input filters with caps and inductors used in similar situations on machines at work.https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/52457.pdf

Would they be suitable for eliminating the input interference and if so, which of the many cap values would be the best to use in this situation ?

Also wondered if twisted CAT cables would give better results over a multicore shielded cable ?

Any other better suggestions welcome.

thanks

I think twisted pair SSTP will be better. Use full cross-section and CAT6 or CAT7 if possible. Just on one end ground shields.
