tnx

Re: hard-wired

Hi,
Hardwired means connecting a signal to a fixed voltage or logic level e.g. 0 or +5V

hard-wired

Pronunciation: (härd'wIurd'), [key]
—adj.
1. Computers.
a. built into a computer's hardware and thus not readily changed.
b. (of a terminal) connected to a computer by a direct circuit rather than through a switching network.
2. (of electrical or electronic components) connected by hardwiring.
3. pertaining to or being an intrinsic and relatively unmodifiable behavior pattern: Every cricket has a hard-wired pattern of chirps.

hard-wired

hi,
simply put "hardwired" indicates that the circuit(some component) is soldered and can perform only a specific task - the main objective of the component. You cannot modify its operation once its "hardwired".The antonym is "programmable".You can change the objectives of that component.

hard-wired

Maybe ASIC is speicific form of hardwire architecure.

Re: hard-wired

Hardwired means we r not programming any device using instructions for a specific task..instead that function is implemented by some h/w..

some types of logic gates out put will be wired to one point. that point will give functionlity like AND or OR function without using real AND or OR gate.....

Check Morris mano Digital design.....
