Hi friends

i need to develop a Battery cell Discharge Circuit with a current rating of 6A.

Battery nominal Voltage: 1.8V
Battery End Voltage: 1.0V

When the battery Cell is connected to the circuit, battery should start discharge and whenever the battery voltage falls to 1V, terminate the discharge. Circuit should power from the Battery only (i.e.1.8V).

i am not able to find the comparator or voltage detectors operating with 1.8V Supply.

can somebody help me in this regard?

Thanks and Regards,
Viswanath

If you don't mind that the discharge will halt at a different volt level than 1V...

then a diode or two can stop the drain automatically.

Per diagram:

Discharge current will taper off as volt level approaches the diode's threshold. This may or may not be acceptable to you.

Using two diodes there's a chance the end volt level will get to 1V, because of diode V/I characteristics.

The resistor limits current flow. It should be rated for a couple of watts.

There may be no comparators working at this voltage range but you can find operational amplifiers that work with 1 V supply. Examples: NCS2001SN1T1G, LMV951MK.
Use the Opamp as a voltage comparator and drive a power bipolar transistor (Vbe = 0.6 V approx). Use a current limiting power resistor between battery positive and transistor collector. You may use a reference voltage generator to compare with battery voltage if high precision is needed.
