Hi,
i would like to ask if it is possible to connect a circuit breaker to a contactor and from the contactor to a one way switch.
If so, may i ask how should i go about doing it? :???:
the model of the contactor i have is LC1D09JD

Yes.
But what is your load? , that's what you are protecting
3p 240vac 4kW motor?
Also what is your 12Vdc 9A power source?

You can also use fuses.

Erm i'm supposed to turn on the lightbulbs with the contactor or via the switch.
i'm using 230V output UPS.
My contactor will be connected to a step up 5 to 12v voltage regulator as i'm going to be using the microcontroller to send out voltage.
As for the wiring part, how should i connect the circuit breaker to the contactor?

Panel CB or fuse (for each of 3 phases used)> Contactor> Load

But it does not seem a good match to step up a 5V signal to 12V @9Amp to drive a 500A 600V 3 phase rated contactor just to 240V bulbs.... unless just an academic exercise, when a better solution is 5V signal> {opto-isolator > MOSFET driver} or all in one package > IGBT> 500A load .

Zero crossing control using LOGIC Pulse from AC zero- crossing and PIC ON/OFF output to drive IGBT.
There are also thousands of ZCS opto isolated SSR ( solid state relays) to pick from.

If academic exercise OK, but analyze costs, loads and efficiency.
Good luck.
