Explanation required of Walking Zero Test

Hi all,

I have read this statement in the manual of an Input module card.

" Cross talk of input circuits by walk zero test."

Can anyone please explain me the meaning of this.

What is walk zero test?
 

a walking 0 test would send patterns of 1110, 1101, 1011, 0111. In this context, I would have to assume the channel always returns to 0000 between data words. This test would then have all but one line change. If the crosstalk sums in the unchanged line, then this would be a reasonable attempt at a worst case crosstalk test. It is less relevant with differential pairs, as it may cause the nearest line to transition from a 1 to a 0.

A walking zero test is simply, all the memory is filled with one's and then the first memory location is set to zero (bit or byte) then the next memory location is checked to see if it is still a one, then that location is set to zero and the previous location may or may not be set to one, and so on for the whole of the memory.
