Hi
My old ctr tv has a power supply problem I assume.
Power reaches secondary diodes but somehow seems to disappear before it reaches voltage regulators.
The regulators are L7808 which measures 0v in as well 0v out
The other regulator L7505 measure 4v in and 4v out.

I have changed bipolars in that particular circuit but problem persist.

I will appreciate any ideas

Thank you
Gasant

Hi Gasant,

is the supply circuit getting hot? Can there be any short circuit just before LM7808?

It does not seem to get hot. But fiddling around and testing other components I blew the power ic on the primary side of smps.
However I am learning from this experience. I will replace power ic and come back to you .

Thank you
