Proload v 5.4 Need help with compatibility of files that I use.

Hi all

I have downloaded Proload V 5.4 lately and I think it is the latest version still available.
Can some one guide me which schematic and hex files I should be susing. I have 1001-3456 v44.hex and the schematic that came with it. I just wish to not regret anything once I started working with the hardware.
If someone has the PCB file, please also let me have that.

This link makes use of Proload 4.1, and even that's not downloadable here. I do wish that I could use v 5.4 but am not sure of the compatibility with the schematic and hex files that I have, as mentioned above, since I downloaded from seperate places.

Yes I post that link because PCB. Its single side, latest firmware is 4.4 and software is 5.4

I use that PCB, but this PCB have only one bad thing, cant program 89C2051 SMD. PCB traces are very long.

This is latest hex 1001-3456 v44 SS (SS is single sided).

Latest ProLoad is 5.4



If you need just to program 89C2051 (SMD, DIP) you can use BlowIt programmer. I use it to program lots of 89C2051 DIP and SMD. He is LPT programmer, very simple and have capability just to erase and write, not to read. Software is BASCOM-8051. 12V and 5V voltages can be used from PC power supply.

You mentioned that this one cannot programme 2051 while the site does mention it (So does proload). Do you mean to say that the previous versions could programme it but this one cant? Please elabourate.:???:
The hex file that I have is 1001-3456 v44. How do I know if it is DS or SS.
Can you please upload the remaining files that you used as well so there remains no doubt. Also this post will remain of greater use to those that view it afterwards. I am having a real difficulty finding the ss.hex version.

Please can you also mention which ICs you have used with this programmer and how your experience has been (especialy c51 and S8253). What other programmers have you had experience with?

I have a schematic and software for (many) Atmel ISP programmable devices including those from 8051. If interested, let me know and I will upload it for u.

The other schematic taht you gave seems really simple; Which software are you using with it. (I am very novice at these things yet!). Can it be used to programme any other ICs (not necessarily 8051 or Atmel).

If you read again my post you will find answer for your question, but here again: Sunrom 89 serie programmer can program 89S51,52,53,89C2051, but cant program 89C2051 in SMD case, because of that for SMD 89c2051 I use BlowIt simple programmer. BlowIt programmer is simple and uses LPT port but he cant read code from 89C2051, only can erase and write.

SS means Single Side
DS means Double Sided

I already give you SS hex 4.4 in previous post, you need just to read with more attention, check rar file.

Yes I had read that, just needed further clarification.

With this provided PCB you can program 89C2051 in DIP but SMD cant! Or you can try double sided PCB maybe you will have more happiness. This SD have bad design, have long traces, but works with DIP 100%. I stop using DIP cases for final version, I only use DIP on protoboard for making project and testing, when all is tested and verified, all goes to SMD variant.
