I search on the forum but cant find satisfactory answer. Therefore creating this new thread.

I have 12V 7.2 AH Sealed lead acid battery and want to make a charging circuit from a transformer. please suggest me a simple and best circuit which will give right charging current and voltage. No PWM just linear circuit.

Do you need to charge it quickly, or will a slow charge be acceptable as it is for standby applications? I would read the data sheet on the battery you have.

I believe the circuits needs to become more complex for fast charging.

No not fast charging .. I am using AMARON QUANTA Battery. I need simple circuit diagram with transformer and diodes and regulator IC to mange change 12V 7.2 AH battery.
 

Believe it or not....

Ceramic SLA batteries have a temperature dependant charge limit time curve with temperature dependant cut-off voltage otherwise the MTBF of the battery suffers quicker. If you are not fussy use a 750W hair dryer on 1500 watt on half power @120Vac with a full wave 20A 300V Schottky $5 bridge so it is cool between Line (hot) and the toaster so you get 750W/120V= 6.25Amp and put a 1 hr timer switch on the plug.
Normal 1C charge rate is acceptable or 1 hr charge. ( I charged my car this way in a snow blizzard when my battery was dead in 1971.)

But really you need to specify the battery part number and get the charge curve before you specify a SLA battery charger. Each supplier has different suggested curves with temperature compensation, unlike Sealed top Auto batteries , Ceramic is used in molded brick SLA's for more deep discharge charge life cycles.

it is not the same chemistry.

Wires to battery will be say 120Vac open circcuit but now current limited by big series resistor. If you are serious.. you will report your battery part number and mfg. then do some research.

I'd just find a >12V "wall wart" and pick a resistor that limits
float current to C/20 (350mA or so) when fully charged.

Charging current for this small 7,2Ah should not be over 0,7A except initial charging current which can be up to 1,8A.

You can use simple float charger set voltage to 13,8V and limit current to 0,7A.

Respect manufacturers datasheet always.
