In practice, why the wofi signal strength varies??

I receiving sometimes signal strength -80 dbm. sometimes -63 dbm etc

Its nature of RF signals spreading into air against objects, materials and other RF signals. Depends from many things, If we forgot power and quality of RF RX TX, we can take in observation concrete walls, armored and reinforced concrete of buildings (there is whole story about grounding rebar in concrete), frequency of transmission, antenna design and place, other signals,....

ya.. i can understand as, the signal strength variation is due to moving surrounding objects.

Is it possible in any way that router itself changes the transmitter signal power??

Some modules, PC wifi, laptop wifi have command/option to set signal power.

Sometimes when module works on batteries, system try to save battery power and decrease power of wifi if signal is acceptable, if signal is very low system can boost wifi signal to max to get transfer of data.
