Hi.
I will be starting my final year in two months and for my final year project i want to do an automated/electronic scaffold to do away with the dangerous ones used in my country in the industry. The design: A walker pad on which the user will get onto, this is attached to the contol unit which also consists of a graphic user interface (GUI) to interface user and controls. For the GUI I am using Java and the control of the other processes will use a PLC. My problem is how I am going to lift my machine off the ground, I am failing to attain 'lift'. Propelling the machine when already in the air will not be a problem. Please help....I need to know how I can get my machine off the ground.Thank you in advance. Here is a sketch of how my product will look.

I have been thinking of using electromagnetism. Create two magnetic fields that will repel each other but I think this has so many disadvantages. Please help???
