Examples of capacitors and inductors...

can you give an example as to where capacitors and inductors are used? i know capacitor's store energy between their plates and inductors store energy in the magnetic field surrounding them and also capacitor is like a 'resistance' when the source voltage is fluctuating and also the inductor is also like a 'resistance' when the current is fluctuating. Is this information sufficient for me to analyse electrical/electronic circuits? Can you please please give an example and explain how both these paassive elements actually help in the circuit operation. I know inductor's are not used a lot in elctronic ckt's.....
 

these two componets are also used to design filters.
capacitors are also used for dc battery stability (to eliminatea/c flutuations).
caps are used for timing (by charging and discharging through resistors) in 555 timer circuits.
etc
 

i saw but not very helpful in designing something from scratch...

The web and textbooks are full of usage examples for L & C. You will not live long enough to peruse them all. Why should we give or copy yet another example?

L, C, and R all impede current, but there is a big difference in HOW they do it. Resistance dissipates energy as heat, thereby reducing the energy available to drive the charge from one location to another. L & C produce a back voltage which limits the current, but does not lose energy. So L & C do not act like resistance with respect to energy manipulation. You would not say that resistance is like a inductor, would you?

Certainly, there have been zillions of text books and countless web posts about this subject.

It is a matter of transferring your knowledge of analysis, and applying it to a specific problem. Again, there are plenty of examples in the electronic literature.

I know inductor's are not used a lot in elctronic ckt's..... .

That is a size and expense consideration, and not applicable to circuit analysis
