heloo everyone how r u doing?
am new to this website
and am not that perfect in elctronics
anyway i was given an assignment to design a PWM generator with a duty cycle of 15 to control DC motor speed
i am gona us the IC 555 timer and so far i hv faced some difficulties regarding the calculation:
i am using a circuit containing 3 resistors,diode and a capacitor
the capacitor value i chose was 0.1uf and frequency is 1KHz
can any1 help me how to get R1,R2,R3
and another thing how can i get a duty cycle of 15?

hope u can help me thank you

Re: PWM generator help!!

We don't do homeworks here mate

you have to do aome effort and we will help you after that

Re: PWM generator help!!

"Duty cycle of 15" doesn't make sense. Duty cycle is a fraction, or it can be expressed as a percentage. So, do you mean 1/15 or 15% or what?

Anyway, everything you need to know is in this Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NE555
