Hi,

I have a rather silly question.
My lab is using a Tektronix AWG7102 and I can control the waveform's 2.8 GHz amplitude but I do not know the output power.
The signal is mixed with a LO (14 GHz, 17 dBm) and I need to confirm my power measurements at the mixer's output.

I have checked the datasheets and manual but it only says that voltage maximum is 2 Vp-p but nothing about power.

Thank you in advance.

First convert voltage from peak-peak to rms, then calculate power. Impedance is usually 50 ohm for RF.

Vrms = Vpp/(2*sqrt(2))

Power = Vrms^2/impedance

Understood. Thanks! Someone told me something entirely different which made me all confused..
