Pass band 4-6 kHz
Transition width 0.5kHz
Pass band ripple 1dB
Stop band attenuation 50dB
Sampling frequency 20kHZ
FFT frame length 512

a) Apply the optimal method to design and implement

(i) the pass band and stop band ripples
(ii)The filter order and filter length N
(iii) Filter realization structure

b)write Matlab program
 

this looks like a question given to you in a test or something but anyway type fdatool into the command window in matlab, choose the fir, bandpass configuration chosse different windows, look at the magnitude and phase response, the idea is to get a low order filder with the desired transition width. if you are completely new to filter desin you might wanna read through this first: **broken link removed**

it's all ready in signal processing toolbox of Matlab, what you do is just input the parameters.
