C code for 4x4 keypad connected to 8051 chip

Hi all

I wont to connect keypad but I wont to give it letters from A to O (16 of them). After I push button it should show on LCD and Virtual Terminal. I connected all that (lcd on PIN P2 and keypad on P0) but im really stupid when I have to program that. All help with the code (in c) will be helpfull

thx men this is very helpfull and much more batter from what I have imagine. Is it OK if I ask some questions about your code because it is beyond my level? First i wont to now what this SRG8 do in proteus?

OK i figure it out what SRG8 is but your code is big and comments are not in english so it is hard to understand everything. if u can help me that would be most generous.
