Hi there,
Am working on a acadamic project called as AUTOMATIC NUMBER PLATE .
My system works as, vehicle entering the parking vicinity activates a gate sensor(switch) placed at a limited distance from a toll gate(gate on which high resolution camera is been placed), then number plate information captured is benn stored in the database and same instant date and time is been noted.Similarly at the exit gate the number plate information is been captured by camera on gate and matched with the initial information and the difference between the entry time and exit time is been calculated to charged the parked vehicle as appropriate.
For now using MATLAB the codes are written to make a created GUI to appear as soon as the vehicle step on sensor.Then options are provided to get the RGB image into grey scale and then into Binary image, where then image prosessing steps takes places.
Now my problem is i want to create a database so that iff an operator wants to see all vehicle information any time , and i want to create a link for the system at the entrance and exit to a main server.
Since am from a EC background am not good at SQL,DATABASE AND C#. So i would be greatfull if i can get a guildence from the people of EDA Forum.
