how does it work and is it a diy project?
 

sat finder circuit

It is a simple sat receiver that is sweeping fast the entire band (all channels and both polarizations). The output of the receiver it drive a strength meter.

I didn't understand why people need satellite finder. in my country Indonesia we can't use satellite finder that's useless. We have new technique that's show longititute , elevetion , azimuth. Then we get the satellite signal.

Do you know how do digital satellite broadcast finders? they show satellite name on display also...

is it possible to make it myself? Does it use an usual DVB receiver analog block?
