hey all,

i have a current mirror where the currentmirror is a long l device.
can i spilt this device into several devices with the same width and a shorter l?
what about the current matching when doing it this way?

You can (and put them in series), but it's not exactly the same, as the upper devices see a (somewhat) different channel - bulk situation.
So don't rely on paramount matching.

hi ,

We cant put them in series right ? Here he is doing for current mirror circuits ... All Device should be in saturation .. if he splited that Vsad variation and headroom effect will come in this picture .. Pleae correct me if i m wrong .

I think the ∑Vsat will be nearly the same as for a single long transistor.
