Hello everybody,
I need some help regarding how to go with the design of peak current mode control of boost converter.

I cannot find a good reference which can really help in a recommended design procedure .

So Questions like How to choose slope compensation ?
how to implement current loop
Finally how to implement voltage loop on which basis

Any help would be great.

Dear mavrik2k
Hi
Why you want create current loop and voltage loop and ... etc ? you can use a simple driver IC which have these things internally .
By the way , what are the specifications of your circuit ?

Hi again
Is your mean , that you want build your own driver ?
No problem .
For current loop you can use a resistor and an op amp and a flip flop or an and gate , simply . and the voltage feed back is with two resistor and a reference voltage and an op amp simply and an oscillator ( ramp wave or sawtooth ) with the out put between zero up to some volts .
And about compensation at SMPS , i can give you some pages about this , and i can introduce some books too .

Hi Goldsmith, Thanks alot for your reply and information. it would be great if some good material regarding designing of Current mode control is posted.

Another question is i know that Current mode control reduces the order of system to 1st order and RC defines your dominant pole. The question is how to select inductor value. Is that related to desired ripple still or something else.

Secondly how to choose slope compensation, meaning how much slope and depth of compensating slope is required.

Some hints would be great !

Thanks alot in advance

The question is how to select inductor value. Is that related to desired ripple still or something else.
off-course it is related with your ripple but it is ripple current not ripple voltage. There is few dependencies/criteria. One from ripple, any application data sheet of buck/boost regulator says that.
Second is LC filter frequency and Bandwidth relation decides the gain margin.
Secondly how to choose slope compensation, meaning how much slope and depth of compensating slope is required.
