hi, i want to know about physical pressure sensors used to calculate the force. i have seen this type in some science channels. they used for testing the energy level of wrestlers. can any one tel me, what type of sensors that is? and how it work?

thanks in advance for your comment.

no. i'm asking is there any electronics sensors behind this. like a sensors used for ECG in medicals.

can i use weight sensors for this

In terms of dynamic forces you can measure acceleration and then with a model of the mass involved translate that to force vectors. The challange making measurements on living beings is to be as non-invasive as possible

can we do this by keeping some rigid component body and sensors.

I doubt they put accelerometers all over his body, but if you videotaped him with some grid lined ink on his body, one might be able to transform the motion of the surface into the Forces required to exert that motion or impact.

Stain guages are are too stiff to measure stress. piezo Accelerometers can measure G but cables become microphonic. Instrumenting all the stress points with accelerometers would be impractical.

For auto collision tests, with dummies, they can measure certain zones with accelerometers. but I would rely on high speed photography with fiducial marks (+) to measure impact g =Δx/Δt²

If dummy is colliding with floor due to gravity without restraint and examining shock of landing with flexible matts vs rigid matts from different heights, you can easily estimate shock. using ratio of distances assuming linear forces.

g = Δd.h. / Δs.h. ( fall due to gravity = drop height / stop height )

so falling say from 1m corner post into middle of floor that moves say 10 cm is 1.0/0.1 = 10 g ,if the body was rigid.

This could be injure body so the collision must be broken to avoid full impact on subject.

Hi

Search FSR ( force sensitive resistor )

thx
