I want to get in electronics and as a first project I want to build an audio system. For the job I require a receiver(amplifier) with simple controls over bass and treble. Because I have a 12V DC adapter I would like that to be my input voltage for the amplifier. It must meet the following specifications:
- 12V Input
- Output: 8ohm 20Watt ~ 100Watt
- Short circuit protection(on the output so I don't blow my amp if the speakers short out)
- Stereo (2 inputs, 2 outputs)
- Bass, Treble and Volume controls(volume will put a simple potentiometer at the output)
So I found a circuit for bass treble control:
Now I have a question. The amplifier circuit should be placed before the input of the bass treble control or should it be situated at the input of the amplifier. Can you provide a circuit that meets the requirements for the amp(12V Input 8ohm 20W~100W Output).
Please no surface mount components. IC chips and other integrated circuits are ok. Just tell me part number so that I can search it at my local electronics shop and see if they have it in stock.
