ir sensr selection for ir remote control

Hi friends,
i am doing my project on 2 channel ir remote control for home appliance using PIC12F629.i need TSOP 4838.I burnt the program on chip.but at the last moment i donot have TSOP4838.its not available.TSOP1738 is the only sensor available.will it work with TSOP1738.please help me its urgent,am trapped
