max to brd

I want to open my layout design with Allegro. How can I convert it ?

10x

allegro max

There should have been a translator on your distribution disk for 10.x.

The translators for earlier versions of Layout/Allegro can be found for free download at:

converting brd to max

I successfully converted my design to allegro by using the translator. Thank you very much. But Why does my design seem "red" in allegro ? :) I have never used allegro until now.

PS: I'm using SPB 15.2

The layer colors can be set to whatever you like. The menu item "Display>Color/Visibility" is where you need to look to set the colors and turn on the layers to make them visible.

allegro spb 15.2

Before the ToAllegro.EXE is invoked, it is recommended to arrange all layers to the correct physical placement in the OrCAD spreadsheet, deleting any non used power planes. Also, the checking of all vias should be done. Otherwise, you end up with a board in Allegro that has illegal via spans and layer order...
